About PETROHAUL

28 years moving the energy that moves America.

We started with 12 tankers and a single Gulf Coast route. Today we run the largest privately-owned hydrocarbon fleet in North America β€” and we still answer our own dispatch line.

Our story

In 1996, founder Marcus Hale saw a gap in the energy supply chain: small refiners and independent operators couldn't get reliable crude transport. He bought 12 used tankers, hired 18 veteran drivers, and started PETROHAUL with one promise β€” show up, every time.

Twenty-eight years later, we operate 640 vehicles, 12 inland terminals, 3 coastal depots, and 1,800 km of pipeline infrastructure. We move over 1.2 million barrels of crude and refined product every day.

We've never missed a refinery delivery in 11 years. We have a zero-fatality record for 9 years running. And we're still family-owned.
